Carers Rights Day in PowysSpecial events to help Powys’ unpaid carers access the support they’re entitled to

 

Credu will be hosting a number of special events across Powys to mark Carers Rights Day on Friday 30th November.

Information Stand at Great Oak Café, Llanidloes     11am-1pm

Carers Rights drop in at Credu Hub Machynlleth     11am – 2:30pm

Support and Information with Cllr Joy Jones, FREE mini massage treatments, refreshments and goody bags for Carers, Newtown Library      10am -12noon

Llandrindod Carers group meeting, Marlow, Llandrindod       10am – 1pm

Advice and Information Morning, Guildhall Brecon with Cllr Matthew Dorrance, Angharad Woodland Solicitor & RVS     10am-12:30am

Carers are meeting at the Health Forum in Ystradgynlais Hospital and meeting the new Practice Manager

 

Credu is one of hundreds of groups across the UK taking part in Carers Rights Day, which falls on Friday 30 November 2018. Carers Rights Day is an annual national awareness campaign organised by the charity Carers UK, which aims to reach as many of the 6.5 million carers in the UK as possible with information about their rights and the financial and practical help they are entitled to; including benefits, such as Carer’s Allowance, breaks and access to equipment and technology which can help them in their caring role. This year the charity is encouraging people to think about how caring might affect them now and in the future and what support they might need.
